Highland Rim School is offering students a chance to explore college and career opportunities through Club Day. Middle school students were able to select from a variety of club choices including Art, Drama, Music Appreciation, Yearbook, 4-H, Journalism, Robotic Legos, Photoshop, Needlework and Student Government. The clubs will meet once a month and will focus on skills and projects that will help prepare students for high school and their future. Mrs. Dana Casey, Student Government adviser and 8th grade ELA teacher commented on club day, "Students are learning public speaking, leadership, visual and fine arts, as well as, writing and technological skills all of which help prepare our students for the rigorous college and career standards set by the state of Tennessee. This is just another way that Highland Rim challenges and prepares our students for the future."  Highland Rim School was recently given the top honor of Reward School for Performance based on last school year's test data. Highland Rim students performed in the top 5% of the State of Tennessee.
